1.      What is your photography style?

            I fit the style to the circumstances.  Most moms want posed photos.  Most brides want candids.  During the ceremony and reception I shoot mostly candids.  The rest of the time it is up to the bride.  I have followed brides into stores to buy Slurpies, up mountains, around the downtown area and thru parks.  Some brides want me to create poses in these locations.  Other brides prefer not to be posed.

2.      Do you prefer formal portraits, candids, or a combination?

            Both have there place.  See above.

3.      Do you primarily shoot weddings?

            Yes but I also shoot portraits and events.  The most well known are the Mrs. Calgary, Miss Calgary and Miss Teen Calgary Pageants.

4.      What are your package options?

            My package is comprehensive and includes everthing you will need.

5.      How many shots will you take?

            This varies.  On average you can expect to see around 60 proofs per hour of coverage.

6.      How many proofs will we receive?

            This depends on the amount of coverage and what you have me photograph.  In ten hours of coverage you should receive approximately 600 proofs.

7.      In what form will we receive the proofs?

            Proofs are supplied on a CD , on-line as well as 4x6 prints.

8.      Do we get to keep the proofs?

            The CD and printed proofs are yours to keep.  The on-line proofs will be on-line for 90 days.

9.      How many albums are included in the package cost?

            The package includes one album.  Additional albums can be ordered.

10.  How much for additional albums?

            Prices are on my price list.

11.  How many shots in each album?

            This varies depending on the Bride.  Some brides like a clean simple album others like a more relaxed scrapbook style.

12.  What size will the photos be in the albums?

            This varies depending on the style of the album and the number of photos.

13.  Can we add extra pages to the album?

            Yes.

14.  Are the album pages acid-free/archival quality?

            All albums are acid free.

15.  Are any portraits included in the price?

            Yes.

16.  What portrait sizes are available?

            Sizes vary from 5x7 to 30x40 inches

17.  Do we get the negatives as part of the package?

            Digital negatives are extra.

18.  For how long do you save the negatives for?

            Two years.

19.  Do you use a film or digital camera?

            I have been 100% digital since 1998.  I still have my old film cameras if you want me to use film.

20.  Do you retouch images?

            All enlargements are retouched at no extra cost.

21.  Do you bring backup equipment?

            Every piece of equipment I use has a backup.  I have three digital cameras, seven flashes and multiple lenses plus a number of specialty items including an emergency sewing repair kit.  I actually had to use it once with a bride who had lost so much weight before her wedding that we had to alter her dress before the ceremony.  I come prepared for every imaginable possibility.

22.  Will you shoot the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner? How much?

            Normally I attend the rehearsal to make sure I know how you want me to photograph the wedding and this is included in my package.  You can have me photograph these events for an additional fee.

23.  How long do you expect the formal shots to take?

            This will vary depending on how many poses you want.  You can figure around 20 poses per hour.

24.  Can we provide you with a prepared shot list?

            Yes and I have a number of suggestions that will help speed up this process.

25.  Do you shoot black & white, color, and sepia?

            Assuming you want me to shoot digital then this is done in post-processing and every photo can be printed in B&W, color or sepia.

26.  Will you be photographing our wedding?

            I’m the main photographer but in some cases my assistant will also be taking photos.

27.  Will you have any assistants?

            I bring one assistant who may also be shooting.

28.  If you get ill, who will shoot our wedding?

            I belong to a group of local photographers who back each other up.  This summer will be my 11th year of shooting weddings and I have never missed one.

29.  How long after the wedding will we get our proofs?

            Proofs will be available one week after the wedding

30.  How long after we choose our photos will we receive the prints/albums?

            Prints take about one week.  Albums take up to two months.

31.  Do you require meals?

            It is customary to provide a meal for myself and my assistant at the reception.  I look after any other needs during the day.

32.  Are there any extra charges for parking, travel etc.?

            All travel cost within the city are included in my basic package.  Travel out of town is extra.

33.  How much deposit is required?

            The booking fee is due when the contract is signed.

34.  Do you have a cancellation policy?

            Yes, if you cancel the wedding all monies paid are applied to future products and services less any costs incurred prior to cancellation.

35.  Do you have liability insurance?

            Yes I have full coverage.
